Compensation Range:

$38.76 - $50.39

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

FT position available (36 hours):  D/E, weekends and holidays per service needs

The Pediatric Vascular Access Team is accountable to assess and identify the vascular access needs for pediatric patients, spanning from neonates to age 19. The candidate must be able to work independently, be flexible, and cross-function collaboration in multiple patient care environments.  Responsibilities include assessment of patients for PICC placement, coordination for line insertion (including recommended support for placement), placement of PICC lines, and ultrasound guided PIVs.  Team members will also be responsible for supporting nursing staff by providing education around vascular access, mentoring for peripheral IV catheter insertion, and serving as a resources for ongoing monitoring, maintenance, management, and troubleshooting of pediatric vascular access devices.The team member will participate in evidence-based practice projects and pediatric service safety and quality interdisciplinary teams on initiatives around vascular access.  Must have 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics. PICC certification preferred but not necessary.
