Job Description Summary

We are hiring a NAM Logistics Manager to lead and elevate our regional logistics organization supporting ACS, FACTS, HVDC, and Services. This role is responsible for building a world-class project logistics capability across both ITO (Inquiry to Order / tendering) and OTR (Order to Remittance / execution).
This leader will manage a team that supports large, complex, high-value projects, ensuring logistics is a strategic advantage—not just a transactional function. The ideal candidate is a confident people leader who brings execution discipline, process compliance, cost rigor, and strong business partnership, while motivating a team and creating a culture of accountability and customer focus.
Success in this role requires someone who can build trust across internal stakeholders, influence project teams early, and ensure logistics is seen as a valuable, proactive asset to the organization.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1) Project Logistics Leadership (ITO + OTR Execution)

  • Lead logistics execution for large and complex projects, ensuring delivery commitments are achieved on time, within budget, and with the required quality.
  • Own logistics deliverables from early tender strategy through project closeout, ensuring strong continuity between ITO planning and OTR execution.
  • Ensure all transportation activities across internal and external suppliers are fully coordinated to meet project requirements.

2) Tendering Support & Cost Discipline

  • Ensure transport quotations are received on time to enable accurate project costing and competitive tendering.
  • Build comprehensive logistics budgets and strategies that improve cost certainty, strengthen risk mitigation, and prevent margin erosion.
  • Ensure transportation schedule cycles are properly reflected in tender schedules and project execution plans.
  • Develop logistics plans that support winning projects while protecting profitability.

3) Transportation Strategy & Total Landed Cost Optimization

  • Develop and execute logistics strategies that optimize total landed cost, delivery cycles, and supply chain reliability.
  • Drive bundling and consolidation opportunities across suppliers and shipments to maximize efficiency and cost savings.
  • Lead logistics actions during execution to maximize deflation opportunities while protecting schedule and delivery performance.

4) Supplier Management & Contracting

  • Ensure on-time logistics purchase order placement is aligned to project schedules.
  • Negotiate pricing and robust terms and conditions that protect the business and mitigate logistics risk.
  • Expedite logistics suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and all required shipping/technical documentation.
  • Support logistics claims management in partnership with contract management and project teams.

5) Planning, Coordination & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with project planning to establish realistic delivery schedules and documentation timelines.
  • Work across functions to prioritize logistics execution across multiple active projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Serve as the logistics point of leadership for key stakeholders including:
    Project Management, Procurement, Project Sourcing, Quality, Tendering, Engineering, Finance, Project Controls, and Construction.

6) Team Leadership & World-Class Logistics Culture

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team through clear goals, accountability, and consistent operating rhythms.
  • Establish strong communication of objectives, processes, and execution priorities across the organization.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, efficiency, and world-class logistics standards.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, skills, tools, and supplier coverage to meet tender and project demand—proactively proposing actions when gaps exist.

7) Safety, Quality & Compliance Leadership

  • Demonstrate visible EHS leadership and ensure execution of the Zero Deviation Plan within the team.
  • Drive compliance to logistics, quality, and project execution processes.
  • Promote a culture of safety excellence with the expectation of zero safety deviations and no safety non-conformances.

Performance Measures / What Success Looks Like

  • On-Time Delivery (OTD) for equipment and materials
  • Logistics cost performance (budget adherence + savings/deflation execution)
  • Strong tracking, reporting, and project visibility
  • Cash manag
