Junior Cyber Engineer

The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Junior Cyber Engineer to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Join a team that tackles complex, multi-disciplinary problems spanning cybersecurity, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer science. You'll have the opportunity to learn and explore new topics while leveraging your existing skills.
Responsibilities:
As a Junior Cyber Engineer, you'll contribute to a team that works hands on with state-of-the-art electronics. You'll perform basic investigation, evaluation, and application of techniques in support of the team's work on new technologies.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
- BS in a related discipline and 2-4 years of directly related experience
- Experience working in and with a Linux OS environment
- Basic knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic systems
- Familiarity with a coding/programming language such as Python, Java, or C
- Experience with command line interfaces such as the Linux terminal
- Understanding of networking topics such as IP addressing and subnetting as well as common protocols (HTTP, TCP, UDP, FTP, etc.) and technologies (ethernet, Wi-Fi, etc.)
- Understanding of interfaces such as serial, USB, and ethernet
Desired:
- Experience with penetration testing or threat hunting and related tools
- Knowledge of file systems and file system structure
- Familiarity with Android OS and mobile device debugging techniques
- Experience with benchtop equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal/power analyzers, and multimeters
- Experience with SDRs (HackRF, Ettus, etc.) and GNURadio
- Soldering experience
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or Fusion360
- Familiarity with electrical circuits and circuit design
- Experience with unmanned systems such as UAS, UGV, and USV
