Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Crane and Mobile Technician includes but is not limited to maintaining all plant mobile equipment and overhead traveling cranes, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, ordering parts, preparing work orders and ensuring safety is always the first concern while working at extreme heights and in demanding environments. Ability to work rotating shift, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including nights, weekends and holiday.

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with three years of industrial maintenance & troubleshooting experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with VFDs, AC motors and motor controls
• Mechanical power transmission and machine alignment
• Diesel engine/ Overhead Crane/ Automotive repair
