Overview:
The Order Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing customer orders and quotes. This position requires excellent customer service skills and attention to detail. The Order Entry Specialist will review customer orders to ensure accuracy and completeness, enter orders into the ERP system, provide follow-up on any discrepancies, and communicate via phone and email with the customer to obtain any needed information. The Order Entry Specialist may also provide customer service to answer any questions or address concerns from the customer, as well as gather information from past orders for others on the team. This position requires excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Responsibilities:
- Accurately input customer orders into the system
- Verify customer information and enter into the ERP system
- Answer customer inquiries about orders, products and services
- Maintain accurate customer records
- Obtain and report on information from past orders
- Learn company products, applications, policies and procedures as needed to support customers
- Ensure that all customer service related paperwork is maintained in neat, accurate and easily accessible files
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Other duties as assigned
