Job Summary:

Virtru’s growing Federal business is seeking an experienced Operator and Facility Security Officer (FSO) to oversee and maintain Virtru’s Facilities Clearance as well as make a meaningful impact on the Federal business in an Operations role.  The ideal candidate will have previously worked as an FSO, or have the credentials and capabilities to step into the role of FSO, create and streamline processes, drive communication and collaboration across teams and improve efficiency.  The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background, be an expert meeting manager, and a history working with Department of Defense and IC community customers.

Reporting through Virtru’s existing Operations function, the FSO and Operations role will be required to work seamlessly throughout Virtru organization including Research & Development, Customer Success and Implementation, and Sales. 

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Security Officer:

    • Maintain and update Virtru’s FCL credentials as needed
    • Manage individual Virtru staff Security Clearances
    • Develop, manage, and implement required security assessments and training
    • Manage and organize relevant documentation for Virtru’s FCL
    • Respond, as needed, to security assessments and work directly with Virtru’s information security team to ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements

Project Management:

    • Develop and maintain systems and processes for tracking internal and external action items and commitments across the Federal organization at Virtru
    • Ensure clear assignment of tasks to individuals and aggressive but realistic due dates
    • Drive regular updates against projects by engaging key stakeholders
    • Identify and raise risk areas or blockers to the completion of assigned tasks and projects
    • Implement software, as necessary, to assist in elevating Virtru’s overall project execution and visibility

Government Contract and Compliance Management:

    • Gain a deep understanding of all of Virtru’s obligations under Federal compliance regulations and Virtru’s specific contractual obligations to individual customers
    • Manage, track, and drive execution against compliance needs such as FOCIs, ATOs, and FCLs
    • Maintain a data repository of all of Virtru’s compliance and contract obligations, key contact information, logins, and other relevant information

Cross Functional Collaboration:

    • Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across Virtru’s organization including sales, delivery, and product
    • Find avenues to streamline and centralize communication across mediums (i.e. email, Slack, Google Docs)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software businesses with at least 4 years of experience with an organization selling into the Federal Government
  • Top Secret clearance with the ability to maintain and upgrade clearance as necessary
