Maintenance Coordinator Summary
Our Leitchfield, KY facility, is hiring a Maintenance Coordinator. This is a full time opportunity to work for a world class hardwood manufacturer. This person will be responsible for coordinating daily maintenance activities between production and maintenance teams.
Maintenance Coordinator Responsibilities:
• Coordinate daily maintenance activities between production and maintenance teams.
• Schedule and prioritize work orders to minimize equipment downtime.
• Manage and maintain the CMMS system (work orders, parts usage, labor tracking, and history).
• Plan and schedule preventative maintenance (PM) tasks to ensure equipment reliability.
• Communicate maintenance priorities with supervisors, operators, and technicians.
• Track downtime events and assist in identifying root causes of failures.
• Ensure maintenance work orders are properly documented and closed in the system.
• Coordinate with the parts department to ensure required parts and materials are available.
• Monitor backlog of maintenance work and help prioritize tasks based on risk and production needs.
• Assist in planning shutdowns, major repairs, and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Generate reports related to downtime, PM completion, and maintenance performance.
• Assist with inventory tracking for maintenance parts and supplies.
• Support budget tracking for maintenance purchases and repairs.
• Act as the communication link between maintenance technicians and production teams.
• Provide daily updates on maintenance progress and equipment status.
• Help ensure maintenance tasks are completed safely and according to company procedures.
Maintenance Coordinator Qualifications:
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
• Experience working with CMMS systems (such as Limble or similar platforms).
• Mechanical or industrial maintenance knowledge preferred.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Maintain high PM completion rates.
• Ensure accurate work order documentation.
• Help reduce unplanned downtime through effective scheduling and coordination.
• Support maintenance team productivity and efficiency.
