The Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals (COP) team is seeking a Sr. Field Sales Manager to support the East region. They will be responsible for executing Sales strategies to meet our business goals of expanding customer base and product penetration. Reporting directly to the Head of Professional Sales, US, this person will also work closely with other sales and support teams  (i.e. Regional Sales Managers and their respective field sales teams) to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and meet long-term goals in line with Colgate-Palmolive’s vision and values. This will be a highly visible role within the organization, working with all levels of internal and external stakeholders, so the ideal candidate should be a strong collaborator and communicator.

 

** This is a remote role, though candidates must be located and/or relocatable to the East region to be considered. **

 

What you will do: 

People leadership & cross-collaboration: 

  • Provide leadership and direction to Regional Sales Managers within designated geography to best support sales goals, objectives, budgets 

  • Coach and develop Regional Sales Managers, where appropriate

  • Collaborate with the Training Manager to develop New Hire Training training content and work with Human Resources, Education team and Regional Management to execute

  • Collaborate with Head of Professional Sales, US to advise on annual sales and marketing plans

  • Maintain sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees. As well as performance managing employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results

  • Maintain strong cross functional communication with all departments and act as the main communication source to the sales team

 

Sales strategy & execution: 

  • Develop & deliver regional sales forecasts

  • Work with Regional Sales Managers to develop on-going sales training strategies for Territory Managers

  • Execute strategic business plans to achieve national sales goals

  • Build relationships with key management of strategic DSO customers

  • Attend national, regional conventions and trade shows

  • Responsible for creating Quarterly Sales Review Slides to be presented to the senior leadership team

 

Data insights & analytical capability:

  • Work with Regional Management team and sales analyst to develop and innovate sales dashboards based on sales strategies

  • Monitor the quality of marketing and sales information and define data improvement programs

  • Maintain a strong pulse on the competitive landscape and market trends reporting back to the leadership team

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • 10+ years of sales background, preferably in a professional channel

  • 5+ years People Management experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Dental industry experience highly preferred

  • Ability to work effectively with a geographically dispersed team and manage a variety of issues proactively and effectively, both in person and remotely

  • Excellent communication skills (internal and external, across all levels)

  • Analytical capability and experience using data & insights to drive business decisions

  • Openness to travel 75%+ within designated region (Eastern part of the US)


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $135,000.00 - $168,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term
