Northrop Grumman Missions Systems, Microelectronics Center is looking to hire an Engineer Supplier Quality either a level 3 or 4, depending on experience, to develop and lead a Supplier Performance Management process within the Microelectronics Center (MC).  As an Engineer Supplier Quality for the MC, you will support the Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) Foundry, the Space Park Foundry, and various Microelectronics Design and Application (MDA) programs.  This individual will report into the Global Supply Chain (GSC) Risk and Opportunity Manager for the NGMC.

This position is on-site and is located in Linthicum, MD

 

This role is part of the GSC team and will be challenged to resolve issues and implement solutions, in a fast-paced environment – including process improvements, tools, metrics, data integration, and coordination and collaboration with key cross-functional stakeholders across the MC.  The successful candidate will hold strong leadership skills, excellent oral and written skills, and an aptitude for DoD contracting requirements.

 

The Engineer Supplier Quality responsibilities will encompass but are not limited to:

• Develops and implements supplier quality evaluation and control systems.

• Assures supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance.

• Interfaces directly with supplier personnel and must be knowledgeable in and capable of assessing both supplier quality and manufacturing processes and procedures.

• Conducts product and process verification activities, monitors supplier quality performance, and drives root cause corrective action analysis for supplier quality issues.

• Supports the maintenance of the approved supplier list and periodically reviews supplier performance to determine whether suppliers should remain on the approved list.

• Manages supplier requests for waivers, deviations and discrepancy reporting process. Keeps management apprised of supplier performance, quality status, and risks.

• Coordinates and oversees Supplier Quality plan implementation through all program phases.

• Actively engages in supplier evaluation, qualification and selection as part of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP) and as new procurements are required on existing programs.
