Assistant Director, Center for the Study of Antisemitism

Position Summary

Manage all facets of the newly created Center for the Study of Antisemitism which promotes interdisciplinary research on Antisemitism, Jewish history, and related aspects of contemporary events by bringing together faculty, visiting scholars, and students at NYU. Plan programming, events, and related educational activities; manage housing and housing-related issues. Work together with Center Director and Research director to support visiting fellows program, including managing the application and selection process for Center fellows. Manage program and event budgets. Assist director on conceptualization and implementation of new funded initiatives and fellowship opportunities, including assistance in grant making, budgeting, and identifying university resources to accommodate an increased number of visitors and events. Supervise clerical and student staff.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree Preferred Education:Master's Degree Required Experience:5+ years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, managing academic programs and budgets, working with faculty and distinguished scholars to develop projects and events, and overall office and financial management. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, and organization skills. Ability to solve problems and interact with individuals at all levels. Ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Strong teamwork abilities and diplomacy skills. Attention to detail with ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to travel internationally as needed.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $90,000.00 to USD $110,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
