Description:

Aleut seeks a highly motivated, Top-Secret//SCI cleared Warehouse Manager / Lead Information Technology Equipment Custodian (ITEC) to support the PICRD contract in Colorado Springs, CO. The candidate will oversee and manage the daily operations of the Aleut IT warehouse and supervise a growing team. The foregoing position description is not all-inclusive of the duties that may be assigned to the employee. To ensure maximum flexibility and efficiency and to encourage cross-training, employees will be assigned additional duties as necessary to ensure mission capability. 

Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse and Logistics Management.
  • Oversight of all activities related to the shipping/receiving, storing, distribution, disposal, and inventory of materials, products, and supplies under DoD Policies.
  • Develop metrics and maintenance data to maintain the effective supply of spares and manage warranty repair actions.
  • Monitor and analyze purchase trends; develop and maintain warehouse inventory based on observed trends.
  • Manage and follow the Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) process.
  • Supervise and train staff Logisticians & Procurement specialists.
  • Manage and maintain the security of the warehouse.
  • Conduct annual, semi-annual, Quarterly, and spot inventories (10% monthly, 100% Annual).
  • Review/Approve timecards for team members.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices within the warehouse environment.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to warehouse staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align logistics and warehousing activities with overall command goals.
  • Report equipment transfers and disposition of equipment.

The Warehouse Manager / Lead will be responsible for knowing, overseeing, and ensuring the completion of the tasks below:

Procurement:

  • Partner with USG Resource Advisor to ensure IT equipment procurement is accomplished.
  • Understand the QEB and DPI process through the Air Force Way ordering system.
  • Understand configurations for IT systems (general terms).
  • Understand the 2GIT vendor ordering process.
  • Maintain relationships with outside vendors.
  • Maintain the Purchase Authorization Request tracker and move items through the procurements process.
  • Assist team members with the procurement process.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships to ensure the best pricing and terms.
  • Reconcile monthly purchases.

Logistician:

  • Ensure company vehicles are maintained.
  • Maintain online equipment databases.
  • Receive, inspect, and store equipment.
  • Tag and log new equipment with property tags.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and storage plans to maximize space and efficiency.
  • Implement and manage inventory control procedures to minimize loss and ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment and facilities.
  • Plan and coordinate logistics and transportation for special projects and large-scale shipments.
  • Coordinate logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery.

Position Requirements:

  • Must possess a current TS with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Trade School certification, or logistics experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 2-5 years’ related work experience.
  • Experience with MS Windows operating system and database software.
  • Must lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch, stand for extended periods.
  • The candidate must exhibit professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivity in the workplace.
  • Must be well organized and coordinate, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with various government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels.
