About the role

The Vice President of Global Corporate Security is responsible for leading and advancing the company’s global security function, with a strategic focus on safeguarding our workforce, executive leadership, physical assets, intellectual property, and critical infrastructure across U.S. and international operations. This role will oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive security strategy that integrates physical security, protective intelligence, executive protection, and aviation security.

The VP will manage global programs and personnel, lead investigations, oversee access control systems, and direct incident response and crisis management protocols. This position requires a leader who brings a blend of strategic vision, operational expertise, and leadership presence—capable of navigating complex security challenges, engaging cross-functional stakeholders, and operating effectively across corporate, government, and international environments.

Team Overview

The Global Security team is responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of our people, physical assets, facilities, and reputation worldwide. Core functions include access control, video surveillance, threat assessment and mitigation, incident response, executive protection, travel security, and aviation security. The team operates in close partnership with Facilities, IT, Legal, HR, and EHS to maintain a safe and resilient global work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a global physical security strategy aligned with enterprise risk, regulatory requirements, and business priorities
  • Oversee security operations across all global locations, including personnel, policies, vendors, and technology systems (access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, etc.)
  • Provide executive protection services and protocols for senior leadership, including risk-based travel planning, event security, and aviation operations
  • Lead development and operation of a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) for threat monitoring, incident response, and intelligence dissemination
  • Conduct risk and threat assessments across global facilities, business units, and geographic regions, recommending and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Oversee investigations of security-related incidents, in partnership with Legal, HR, and law enforcement when appropriate
  • Direct aviation security planning, ensuring safe travel protocols for private aircraft and alignment with TSA, FAA, and international regulatory standards
  • Partner with Facilities and IT on security technology strategy, including access control, visitor management, perimeter security, and mass notification
  • Manage relationships with law enforcement, intelligence agencies, and private security partners at the federal, state, and international levels
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and internal advisor on crisis response planning, executive travel risk, geopolitical threat monitoring, and insider threats
  • Lead and grow a high-performing, geographically distributed security team, including recruitment, development, and performance management
  • Build and manage the security budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining the highest standards of protection

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive security leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior corporate security leadership role with global scope
  • Demonstrated experience leading executive protection programs and aviation security protocols at the corporate level
  • Proven track record designing and managing Global Security Operations Centers (GSOCs) and scalable international programs
  • Deep knowledge of physical security systems, protective intelligence, investigations, and high-risk environment planning
  • Understanding of cyber-physical convergence and how digital threats intersect with physical security risks
  • Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., life sciences, healthcare, defense, or government contracting)
  • Skilled in enterprise risk management, cross-border legal/regulatory issues, and international security standards
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels, including C-suite and board
  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, International Relations, or a related field
  • Ability to travel frequently (domestic and international) and work non-standard hours as needed

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Homeland Security, or related field
  • Industry certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PSP (Physical Security Professional), or Board Certified in Securi
