Overview

This position designs, analyzes, develops, implements, upgrades, tests, administers, troubleshoots, and supports custom and third-party application systems to enhance company efficiency, regulatory compliance, responsiveness, and competitive advantage. This team member also partners with business departments, vendors, and developers to define requirements, research new technologies, explore opportunities, and improve process efficiency.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Supporting the technology objectives of the company by designing, analyzing, developing, implementing, upgrading, testing, troubleshooting, administering, and supporting business systems
• Partnering with business departments, vendors, and developers to translate business needs into technology solutions 
• Developing a solid understanding of applications being supported
• Increasing knowledge of Information Technology methodologies, tools, and techniques
• Drawing on analytical experience to develop a variety of solutions for moderately complex problems
• Adhering to department values, policies, procedures, methodologies, and security and / or confidentiality requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in software development
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills
• Analytical and Organized
• Experience with Programming or Scripting languages
• Experience with database design and SQL querying

 

Preferred:

• Major in Computer Science or similar technical degree
• Experience with ESRI GIS tools
• Experience with Python
• Experience with Microsoft .NET (C#)
• Experience with JavaScript
• Experience with JavaScript Frameworks
• Experience with Web Services (WCF, WebAPI, or REST)
• Experience with SSRS, Cognos, Power BI or other reporting/analytics tools
• Project management experience a plus
