The opportunity

 

The PIMCO Prime Tax team is a multidisciplinary team of highly experienced tax professionals specifically dedicated to advising our clients across the real estate sector. We are seeking a (senior) tax compliance manager (m/f/d) to join our team.

 

As a (senior) manager (m/f/d) in our tax team, you'll become an integral part of a dynamic company and have the opportunity to work with our clients on some of the largest real estate transactions worldwide, driving the delivery of quality tax planning and compliance services. As a (senior) tax compliance manager (m/f/d) you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our clients’ compliance with all tax regulations and optimizing their tax strategy.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

 

• Oversee and manage all aspects of tax compliance, including steering of tax advisors with view to the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns
• Identify and assess potential tax risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to provide tax guidance and support for business initiatives
• Maintain comprehensive and organized tax documentation to facilitate audits and regulatory reviews
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize liabilities

 

Your Skills and attributes

 

• Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience in corporate and international tax law with a focus on tax compliance
• German tax adviser (with a University degree in Business Administration / Finance /Law) and/ or Fully qualified lawyer with focus on taxes
• Strong tax technical skills, including tax research and writing skills, and have an ability to communicate complex issues in a coherent and commercial way to clients and other stakeholders
• Excellent project management with an ability to manage deadlines and client expectations
• Ability to prioritize across projects and make strong decisions in often-uncertain scenarios
• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills and confidence to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders
• Very good command of English and German
