Associates in this role develop, train, run, and communicate analytical models to business partners and other end users while making connections to larger NF initiatives and goals. They lead financial and operational measurement projects, identifies relevant data sets for data analytics application(s), creates visual and statistical solutions using advanced business intelligence tools and appropriate research methodologies and best practices. Frequently runs in-depth data analysis of to uncover actionable insights to contribute to strategic decision-making. They may lead multiple projects concurrently.

It is our intention to fill this role in Columbus, Ohio, however, on occasion, applications from internal candidates that are working remotely who bring critical industry skills and relevant experience may considered.

Job Description Summary

Responsible for leading financial and operational measurement projects supporting the business unit. Consults with business partners to define, structure and execute data and information projects. Creates statistical and visual solutions using advanced business intelligence tools. Manages the process of identifying and executing appropriate research methodologies that will provide the information needed in an understandable format. Develops and implements financial and operational measurement management practices. May lead small multiple concurrent projects.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships and serve as a trusted business advisor to clients, internal risk partners, and other stakeholders.  Create partnerships across the enterprise to ensure methodologies and assumptions used are aligned with corporate practices.
  • Responsible for creating, packaging, and communicating financial and operational measurement work by developing new statistical and visual solutions, and using appropriate medium for relevant insights.  Determines the level of information needed based on business problems and customer needs.
  • Responsible for effectively synthesizing own project work and the work of team members.  Work may span more than one project or focus area.  Plans and manages execution of own work, participates in planning, and delivers on commitments Participates in the development of scope, risk/control matrix, project timelines, and assignments.
  • Collaborates with Leadership to develop financial and operational measurement strategies for the business unit.  Consults with business partners to understand, align, and deliver measurement work that supports business objectives and priorities. 
  • Determines appropriate information and data to be shared with customers.  Shares financial and operational measurement work with appropriate area of the company as assigned.
  • Responsible for building and/or leveraging business intelligence applications using statistical, database, and/or general programming languages and tools.  Leverage technology for data management, report automation and/or ad hoc reporting for end users.
  • Responsible for preparation of reports and use of information systems, software and related sources of information. Trains other users on report preparation and data base access.  Supports the research, analysis and presentation of information by:  monitoring external sources, creating custom reports, compiling and summarizing information, producing supporting documentation and exhibits, and verification of information received from external sources.
  • Manages special projects and serves as data/technical lead and contact. Project team members typically consist of both team members and members from other departments.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of department processes through ongoing initiatives. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Typical Skills and Experiences: 

Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information, business, mathematics, or related field with post-graduate studies preferred.
