We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Mail Processing Associate to join our team. This entry-level role involves supporting business operations by accurately processing and classifying incoming mail. The ideal candidate will have basic skills in data processing and organization and will work within established procedures under close supervision. This position is ideal for candidates looking to develop foundational experience in an administrative support role within a structured environment.
WORK SCHEDULE: Six week position: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday
WORKSITE: 315 W. Edgerton Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53207
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Receive and sort incoming trays of mail, weighing between 10-20 lbs each.
- Open and categorize mail by type, and operate seated mail opener/scanner machine as needed.
- Scan and classify documents per established rules and client requirements, ensuring accurate data capture and processing.
- Capture information according to client specifications, maintaining attention to detail.
- Ensure all documents are handled per company standards and client requirements.
- Perform other tasks as assigned to support the business and operations.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Familiarity with mail processing procedures and scanner equipment (training provided).
- Ability to identify document types and accurately classify information.
- Ability to effectively exchange information with team members.
- Ability to lift trays weighing up to 20 lbs and work on seated equipment.
- Able to follow standardized procedures and solve minor issues independently, seeking guidance when needed.
- Understanding how to support team goals by following processes and providing quality work.
