The Role

Salary range is:
$65,562.00 - $80,000.00
This position is bonus/commission eligible.

The Instructional Designer will create eLearning, live instructor-led training sessions and training guides, and supporting materials following an instructional design process to support CCC’s learning audiences.

As a member of the Learning Services team, the Instructional Designer is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to create and implement learning experiences.

Critical skills required for the role include a high degree of accuracy; versatility; strong CCC product knowledge; digital content and learning technologies experience; demonstrated mastery of English grammar; and the ability to align to sound project management practices on all projects.


Interface with all Internal Departments, including but not limited to:

• Enabling Services
• All Sales Groups
• Service Operations
• Product Management & Marketing
• Product Development
• Help Desk /Technology

External Customers including but not limited to:

• Insurance
• Repair Facilities
• Suppliers/OEMs
• Independent Appraisers


 

Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Design

  • Apply knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory to develop learning materials and create or update training programs.
  • Quickly synthesizes and rapidly create course content based on input from written material, previous training courses, subject matter experts, etc.
  • Oversee instructional design projects and manage training project plans. Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement learning solutions to best meet the particular business need.
  • Develop learning experiences for classroom (in-person and virtual), self-paced eLearning modules or blended approaches.
  • Create course presentations, videos, assessments, facilitator guides, and course handouts.
  • Execute evaluation strategies and tools to measure program effectiveness. Leverage feedback into design and on-going maintenance of training/learning solutions.
  • Conduct initial train-the-trainer sessions for all new training programs.
  • Research and implement best practices in instructional design and learning technologies.
  • Assist, when applicable, in the development and maintenance of product help topics

Project Management

  • Establish and refine effective project management procedures and status processes.
  • Create and manage project plans according to processes and procedures using identified project management tools.
  • Plan, collaborate, and execute training development activities.
  • Consult with project teams to develop and implement learning solutions to best meet the business need.
  • Clearly communicate project milestones, issues, risks, and needs to Learning Services Leadership and project stakeholders.

Learning Management

  • Support trainers, SMEs, clients, etc. who need problem-solving and solutions within the LMS.
  • Use established course development processes for LMS distribution.
  • Administer the LMS, including uploading content and maintaining all training-related recordkeeping as needed.
  • Collaborate with LMS process analyst to determine and facilitate best practices and required reporting.
  • This position does not have direct reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.


 

Requirements:

Relevant Work Experience

  • Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum three years Instructional Design experience is preferred.
  • Preferred prior experience includes working with complex content and developing training for multiple delivery modalities (traditional/online classroom, and self-paced eLearning modules).<
