8750 Quality & Patient SafetySupervised by the Director of Quality & Patient Safety and in partnership with the Director of Accreditation, the Process Improvement System Analyst Intern is responsible for managing data and documentation within a common healthcare risk management and compliance software platform to support the hospital’s safety, quality and accreditation programs. Builds electronic data entry forms, enters and maintains data, and data visualizations that support patient safety and quality process improvement. These responsibilities will help ensure the accurate alignment of regulatory standards and action plans resulting in effective reporting, monitoring, and continuous improvement efforts.QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Required: Active enrollment in an Industrial Engineering program with the professional goal of working in the healthcare field.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Strong attention to detail
Displays strong organizational skills
Comfortable using software systems and entering data accurately
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and time management skills
Desire to work professionally in a process improvement and data-related field
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential
Builds and updates electronic data collection forms in software.
Inputs data collected from patient safety rounds into software to help monitor progress on patient safety and quality process improvement action plans.
Assists in collecting and organizing electronic data, process improvement standards/initiatives and reporting information data from software.
Ensures all information is properly linked to the applicable process improvement initiative.
Provides general support to the Quality Department on various projects and initiatives.
Additional
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Pay Range
