We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer that can hit the ground running.  Our application has been around for a couple years without a real Automation process in place.  You will be responsible for developing a plan/process as well as working with the team to implement it.  You will have full control of the approach you take for this as well as the resources needed.  Our teams’ culture is very welcoming, and we have a lot of fun together.  We are looking for someone who brings a good attitude and likes to have fun but is also a hard worker and motivated to do a good job.  We strive to nurture a collaborative environment and look forward to bringing someone on board who likes to learn new things and take ownership in the overall quality of our product.

Principal Responsibilities and Essential Duties

• Build automation frameworks for both back-end and front-end
• Evaluate and recommend best practices, tools for continuous automation and support new technologies
• Lead, propose, recognize gaps, as well as create/architect aligned test strategies
• Expert on Product knowledge to streamline tests from manual to automation for continuous automation
• Author scripts for efficiencies
• API level expert to perform various performance metrics
• Understand QA eco-systems/configurations and identify technical challenges to fix\improve QA infrastructure
• Effectively collaborate across all departments and mentor others
• Collaborate with team to come up with processes to create efficiencies within team
• Ownership of automation responsibilities such as reporting, maintaining and lead efforts on automation reviews, continuous guidance and coordination within team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details
• Understands, execute, and automate application performances and reporting
• Interface with production environments and or clients to troubleshoot issues and give recommendations on functionality
• Coordinate with QA and Development in writing and executing automated tests for builds/deploys
• Coordinate with Development on handling automated test coverage using UI, Unit and Integration tests
• Assist Product Management and QA with writing and approving feature acceptance tests
• Perform code reviews of automated test changes
• Assist QA with manual testing of new features when necessary
• Continually review and select manual test cases for automation test suites
• Verifying tests on Product Releases
• Mentor Jr and Level I test engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years relevant experience or 4 years hands on experience. 
• Strong understanding of quality assurance techniques and best practices.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies (e.g. automated, exploratory, performance).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Knowledge of operating systems, development tools and approaches, task tracking tools, and MS Office applications.
• Experience testing mobile devices
• Exceptional knowledge and experience with automation tools and development
• Experience with HTML, CSS, C#, Jmeter, JavaScript, Selenium, Xcode, Android Studio, Cypress, API Testing, Bitbucket, Postman
