Director, Global Distribution -
General Summary:
The Director of Global Distribution is responsible for developing and managing the distributors and GTM strategy as it relates to 3rd party distribution for ConnectWise products and services, ensuring efficient delivery to customers through various channels, including resellers, MSPs, and digital platforms. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with distributors, optimizing channel performance, and driving revenue growth while aligning with the company’s strategic objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- GTM Strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive GTM strategy for software products, including physical and digital channels (e.g., cloud marketplaces, app stores, partner networks), choosing new regions, new markets and new distributors for selling ConnectWise products.
- Channel Management: Identify, onboard, and manage distributors, and influence downstream value-added resellers (VARs)v to expand market reach and sales.
- Revenue Growth: Drive sales performance by setting targets, monitoring channel metrics, and implementing initiatives to increase revenue and market share.
- Partner Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key distribution partners, ensuring alignment with company goals and consistent brand representation.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to adjust distribution approaches and capitalize on new opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of channel managers or sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with sales targets.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless product launches, promotional campaigns, and customer support.

- Proven track record of building and scaling distribution networks for software products (SaaS, on-premise, or cloud-based).
- Strong understanding of software licensing models, pricing strategies, and digital distribution platforms and marketplaces.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of global markets and experience with international distribution.
- Knowledge of the MSP markets and corporate resellers.
- Experience with SaaS software sales models.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies (e.g., AI, cloud computing) and their impact on software distribution.
- Proficiency in forecasting and budgeting for distribution channels.
Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 10 years of experience in software sales, channel management, or distribution, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
