Our Team Lead will oversee the work of staff engineers, providing them with mentoring and guidance. Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as a Team Lead for all internal department managers to facilitate cost estimates, design concepts, and planning in conjunction with field observations
- Accountable for QA/QC reviews for the engineering team
- Review technical and civil engineering drawings and make revisions accordingly
- Independently evaluate, select, and adapt standard techniques, procedures, and criteria based on sound engineering principles
- Collaboratively use judgment to determine adaptations in methods for non-routine aspects of assignments
- Perform detailed site design work on a variety of projects and prepare reports, studies, and project documents (as required)
- Support the preparation of scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments
- Delegate and coordinate work with entry-level engineers, technicians, and administrative staff
- Motivate team members through the creation of a positive work environment by providing mentoring, coaching, and training to assist in professional development
- Assist with communicating information pertaining to specific assignments or meetings to clients, sub-consultants, or government agencies
- Other project and supervisory duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Ability to motivate and mentor a team
- Professional Engineer Licensure (PE) preferred
- 10+ years of professional experience including 1-2 years of managing a team.
- Proficient in the use e of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTurn, HydroCAD Microsoft Office Suite
