Sr. Node.js Developer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Node.js Back-End Engineer to join a dynamic fintech team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend systems with Node.js and Express. You’ll work closely with product owners and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and user-focused software solutions.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical expertise and a passion for building efficient systems that drive real business impact in the financial technology space.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems using Node.js and Express.js.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure application security, reliability, and performance.
• Write clean, reusable, and testable code.
• Develop and maintain unit tests as part of the development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve practices.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of Express.js, JavaScript, and related frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git preferred).
• Unit testing experience.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure also considered).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
