Job Description

Act as an overall leader for the team. Provide the technical roadmap to meet client needs and objectives. Advance our applications to a next-generation suite for our Identity products utilizing latest technologies. Drive innovation by collaborating with fellow developers and end-users to rapidly produce critical features. Communicate technical direction to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Follow Agile principles to continuously deliver increment value to our products within expected time frames. Lead the full software development life cycle from requirement gathering, design, implementation, testing and application release. Manage potential risks in software development life cycle and resolve issues quickly. Find preventive measures to mitigate risks. Design and implement large databases and data warehouses. Leverage knowledge of software engineering and apply database methodologies, techniques, and tools to minimize database errors efficiently and effectively. Provide support for production failures within scheduled on-call windows including nights/weekends. Follow development best practices such as test-driven development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, version control branching strategies and QA procedures. Establish individual goals for developer and team goals for the whole team. Review the work of subordinates and ensure a collaborative, positive, and enjoyable environment for your development team. Train and provide direction to junior team members

Qualifications

Must have experience with the following in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks:

  • Proficient with object oriented and functional programming principles.
  • Experienced in an agile and test-driven development environment.
  • Understands code reusability, security, and performance concerns.
  • Proficient in working in Windows and Linux multi-tenant cloud-based environments, and with command-line tools.
  • Experience with PII data handling in a highly security conscious environment.
  • Experience with Java, Python, SQL, Bash, XML, JSON. Experience with Apache Airflow.
  • Experience in Snowflake utilities like SnowSQL, Streams, and Stored Procedures.
  • Solid experience and understanding of architecture, designing and operationalization of large scale data and analytics solutions.
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, EMR, S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS.
  • Experience with Big Data Technologies, such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Tez, Spark, EMR.
  • Experience with database system, such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, HBase, Hive.
  • Experience building real-time services utilizing cloud technologies such as Elastic Beanstalk, API Gateway.
  • Knowledge of USPS postal processing standards and related software including CASS, NCOA, DSF2, DPV, Geocoding.
  • Experience in full product life cycle management from requirements gathering to production release of a project.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects with cross team collaboration.
  • Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field, and at least one (1) year of experience as a Developer, Software Engineer, or related occupation. In the alternative, the company will accept a Bachelor’s degree and at least five (5) years of experience in the above-mentioned field and occupation.
  • Itinerant Employment - Employee may be required to work at various unanticipated locations through the U.S.
  • Option to work from home.
