Midwest Hose is seeking a motivated and creative Web Developer & Project Coordinator to support our digital presence and assist with ongoing website and project management needs. This role is ideal for a college student or early-career professional with some website development experience who is eager to learn and grow. The position offers the possibility to begin part-time, with the potential to transition to a full-time role.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining and updating company websites (WordPress and related platforms)
- Support the development of new website pages, features, and functionality
- Coordinate small projects, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic website or technical issues
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to algin web content with company goals
- Optimize website ages for usability, responsiveness, and SEO best practices
- Research and recommend new tools, plugins, or improvements to enhance performance
- Manage the full implementation of a new eCommerce platform with a third-party vender, including weekly status meetings and cross-team collaboration
- Translate existing WordPress and Shopify websites into the new vendor platform, ensuring consistency, performance, and best web practices
- Consolidate multiple sites into a unified, streamlined eCommerce website with a strong focus on usability and conversion
- Apply knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern web design practices to customize and enhance the new platform as needed
- Manage ongoing site updates, content changes, and technical troubleshooting to ensure operational excellence
- Provide weekly analytics reports with insights and recommendations for improving performance
- Implement SEO best practices to drive organic traffic and optimize search visibility
- Act as the liaison between the vendor, internal teams, and leadership to ensure project deadlines and goals are met
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Some hands-on experience with website development (WordPress preferred)
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic design principles
- Strong organizational and communication skills with an interest in project coordination
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and work independently when needed
- Willingness to learn new technologies and expand web development skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Elementor or similar page builders
- Knowledge of SEO fundamentals and website analytics
- Basic understanding of project management tools
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED (required)
- Current college student in Computer Science, Web Development, Marketing, or a related field OR equivalent experience
Work Schedule & Pay:
This position may be structured as part-time or full-time depending on the candidate’s availability and business needs. Compensation is competitive and will be based on experience and schedule, with an expected range of $45,000 to $60,000 annually (pro-rated for part-time).
