Quality Inspector (3rd Shift)

The role of Quality Inspector is to evaluate processed electronic components for conformance to work instructions. Inspection of components requires use of microscope and measurement tools such as calipers, and other tools.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Evaluate product from equipment setup, prior to release for production (1st piece approval)
• Perform sampling inspection of components during processing at the process station
• Provide feedback to operators and technicians on product acceptance or rejection
• Provide feedback to Production Supervisor/Managers regarding processing issues
• Other inspection duties as assigned

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Follow clean room and other environmental precautions and procedures as required.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of electronic components (resistors, capacitors, IC’s)
• Familiar with inspection equipment such as microscopes, measurement tools
• Be detail oriented to ensure process meets specifications
• Ability to follow work instructions (English)
• Complete process traveler paperwork and electronic data entry
• Familiar with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and/or MIL-STD’s preferred
• Good communication skills
• Customer focus

• Strong hands-on approach to Quality Inspection
• Ability to translate customer specifications/drawings
• Ability to exercise flexibility with quickly changing data requests
• Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
