Warehouse Operator
Location: Ames, IA
(Onsite) Monday - Friday 7:00am- 3:30pm
As a Warehouse Operator, you will coordinate the logistics related to the receipt and shipment of raw materials and finished goods, including unloading inbound shipments, incoming goods, sampling and inspection activities, warehouse storage management and loading of outbound shipments. This is for our Animal Nutrition and Health (Premix) location of production of vitamin mixes.

Responsibilities:
- Complies with procedures for packaging, handling and storage of all incoming and finished goods. (including quarantined, customer supplied, and expired product)
- Operate forklift equipment in a safe and controlled manner in accordance with SHE (safety, Health & Environment) requirements, SOP’s and quality standards.
- Receives samples, completes incoming goods receipt activities, including visual inspection of 3PRM and stores raw materials from DSM and 3PRM vendors.
- Responsible for the management of the warehouse, including FIFO of raw materials and finished goods.
- Completes entry into SAP for receiving and outbound deliveries, including PGI of shipped orders.
- Minor maintenance work on equipment as necessary.
- Responsible to help reconciler monthly inventory cycle counts.

You bring:
- High school diploma / GED
- Minimum of 3 years related experience in the following areas: Feed Mill or Premix production.
- Knowledge and understanding of OSHA, while also learning dsm-firmenich SHE & Quality & Security standards.
- Basic experience required in mechanical, electrical, welding and operational oversight.
- Experience in the use of computers and computer systems.
