Methode Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: MEI) is seeking a FMEA Engineer 3 responsible for driving risk management, continuous improvement, and product quality through the effective application of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) methodologies through multiple products.

Responsibilities:
Lead and facilitate the FMEA process across various stages of product development, manufacturing, and post-production, ensuring the identification, evaluation and mitigation of risks related to product quality and reliability
Work closely with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, production, etc.) to conduct and review Design FMEAs (DFMEA) and Process FMEAs (PFMEA), ensuring that all potential failure modes are identified and assessed
Provide technical support and expertise on technical cleanliness standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal quality expectations
Collaborate with quality control and productions teams to ensure technical cleanliness standards are met, particularly in critical automotive components and assemblies
Ensure the implementation and validation of corrective actions, preventive actions, and risk mitigation plans based on FMEA results
Securing the FMEA interface to the customer and supplier
Acts as the moderator for FMEA sessions, guiding teams through the process and facilitating discussions on risk analysis, severity, occurrence, and detection ratings
Analyze and report on FMEA results, providing detailed documentation and risk assessments to senior management
Support the development and improvement of FMEA-related tools, templates, and best practices within the organization
Feedback of lessons learned from 8D during FMEAs
Creation of reusable FMEA modules, and the creation and distribution of FMEA evaluations
Monitoring progress of FMEA projects
Training of FMEA methodology and software
Documentation, release, and archiving FMEAs
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Engineering degree with working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and software
At least 7 years of engineering experience including in the area of quality/quality control or Technical Cleanliness, preferably in the automotive industry.
At least 3 years of experience as an FMEA Engineer/Moderator s.a. in the automotive industry
Knowledge of AIAG standards for FMEAs
Knowledge of FMEA methods in accordance with VDA and ISO/ TS
Knowledge of IEC61508, ISO26262, Automotive SPiCE and CMMI norms
Experience with FMEA software, preferably APIS IQ‐Software
Autonomous work ethic and ability to communicate in an international setting

Confident appearance and assertiveness
Competent with Office software
Very good reading and writing skills in English
Knows the products technically that we design (Lighting, User Interface, Sensors and Power)
Knows the automotive test requirements of several automotive OEM
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
The base pay hiring rate expected for this position is: $110,000 – $140,000 annually.
This position is eligible to participate in an incentive plan. Metrics and level of participation are determined annually.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
