Description
The role of Facilities Manager is to oversees all aspects of building functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of all facilities. Duties include running routine safety inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, maintaining records, and supervising facilities staff. Our ideal candidate is well-versed in facilities management processes and exhibits high multitasking and organizational abilities.
Requirements
Major Duties and Responsibilities
· Plan and coordinate all installation of facility equipment
· Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
· Manage buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs, renovations, and cleaning
· Perform small repairs as needed
· Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
· Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
· Manage vendor contracts
· Write and keep documentation on facilities and perform analysis and forecasting
· After hours on-call by need. Offices close at 5 but may need to stay after hours for projects and take call for physical security issues.
Experience and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential or previous experience as facilities manager or relevant position
- Experience planning and maintaining a facilities budget
- Experience managing vendor contracts
