2026 INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

This posting is designed for students interested in joining Tepa’s 2026 Summer Internship Program. While we’ve highlighted the Environmental Scientist intern role below, this is an open interest posting for any of our future environmental summer internship opportunities: including Geology, Environmental Science, or Environmental Data Science. The 2026 Internship Program is a paid opportunity for the duration of 12 weeks. Depending on your workload and school schedule, the work schedule will be approximately 40 hours per week in a hybrid setting. 


ABOUT THE JOB 

The Tepa Companies are seeking an Environmental Scientist Intern that will be responsible for supporting inspections and sampling of suspected contamination at various client facilities nationwide. Prior experience conducting sampling is not required. While the scientist is not traveling, activities will include assisting the project manager and other environmental scientists with data and database quality reviews. Database work may include scientific analysis of technical reports, collection of data from technical reports, and adding data to a database. 

Job Functions: 

  • Performs sampling at client locations nationwide.
  • Collects samples to submit to laboratories.
  • Completes chain-of-custody documentation
  • Creates inspection reports including inspection activities performed and sample results.
  • Prepares draft technical reports.
  • Direct interaction with clients at client sites.
  • Provides support activities such as review of environmental technical reports, summarizing data from technical reports, and updating a database.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Studies, Geology, or related field.
  • Within two (2) years of graduating.
  • Self-motivated individual with strong, organizational, problem solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
