Base Pay Range:

$125,000 - $150,000

As a General Manager - MGR, your essential job functions will include the following:

Drive Business Plan Execution

  • Oversee and lead OEM program(s) – establish clear objectives, assess performance and priorities for each OEM.
  • Responsible for strategic and tactical P&L for OEM program(s), including unit, revenue and gross margin objectives. 
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships at multiple executive levels at each assigned OEM account, becoming a trusted advisor on all things related to the business.
  • Facilitate the annual business planning process by driving strategies and tactic for OEM program(s).
  • Collaborate and communicate with key internal stakeholders for the development and execution of business plans.
  • Provide general program knowledge and support to key internal stakeholders in support of business plan objectives and OEM initiatives.  

Execution of Existing Programs

  • Be a Dealer Tire expert in details of all assigned OEM contracts.
    • Contract periods and terms
    • Financial terms
    • Agreed upon service levels and initiatives
  • Provide leadership and support to team for OEM initiatives, projects, and provide solutions to day-to-day questions/issues that arise with each OEM.
  • Lead new programs and products, project/product launches, working cross-functionally to execute, optimize, and drive the business. Ensure commitments made to OEMs align with internal goals and metrics. Partner and collaborate with Brand Manager in the development of a promotion strategy to drive unit sales.
  • Develop and review best practices with management team for execution across the entire organization.
  • Become OEM program expert and champion internally with key stakeholders while also being viewed as the Dealer Tire and industry expert with each assigned OEM account.  
  • Examine and implement opportunities to improve processes throughout the program, promoting effective communication and efficient program execution.

Business Development Support (if applicable)

  • Integrate and analyze information from disparate sources.
  • Conduct various special projects as needed.
  • Create detailed models for new business opportunities.
  • Develop growth strategies that capitalize on current and emerging business opportunities.
  • Recognize and create competitive and breakthrough strategies that drive revenue and margin for Dealer Tire and the OEMs.
  • Understand the complexity of the business and anticipate changes in OEM and market needs.
  • Envision and consult across the entire business to ensure decisions align multiple strategies and perspectives.

Leadership, Mentoring & Coaching

  • Lead Program Manager to drive results and process efficiencies.
  • Provide guidance/coaching for project execution/implementation to meet OEM goals and objectives.
  • Acquire and build talent with a focus on developing future leaders.
  • Promote an environment of critical and creative thinkers.
  • Complete a performance evaluation of each team member and recommend appropriate action such as promotions, counseling, merit increases and termination.
  • Determine staffing needs, interview potential candidates and make recommendations on individual hires.
  • Develop a collaborative climate for communicating information and offering opinions.

Other Duties as Assigned

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing, Management or related field. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales, Product Management or Marketing with project management experience required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization required.
  • Facilitation and Negotiation skills required.
  • Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products required.
  • Experience managing direct reports & developing improved processes is preferred.
  • Demonstrate good financial acumen and understand the triggers that affect revenue, margins, and profit.
