About the role
Role Summary
Candidates must be able to repair, install, replace and maintains both mechanical and electrical equipment. Candidates must also diagnose equipment failure and make repairs to equipment per manufacture recommendations and / or appropriate work instructions.
Main Tasks
- Operate and maintain equipment according to requirements.
- Interpret and apply specifications such as drawings, schematics, ladder logic etc.
- Experience with Servo &VFD drives and PLC controls.
- Maintain appropriate records such as work orders, timesheets etc.
- Dismantles electrical equipment and replaces faulty or defective parts in compliance with O.S.H.A., State and Local codes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area and participates in shop clean-up schedules and projects. Operate all equipment in accordance with safety requirements.
- Assist in the building of new equipment and fixtures as required.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ensure that quality standards are met.
- Stop processes if quality or safety standards are not met.
- Identify/record any problems relating to the product, process, or the quality system.
- Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
- Control further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming product until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition is corrected.
Your Profile
- Completion of a one-year industrial electrician course or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to perform essential functions.
- Must be able to physically lift and maneuver weights in excess of fifty pounds.
- Must be able to work under physical situations that include standing, moving, climbing, lifting, kneeling, crouching, reaching and handling.
- A minimum of two years mechanical and electrical experience is preferred.
- Have basic knowledge of O.S.H.A., State and Local electrical codes.
- Training and / or experience with Polyurethane dispensing systems, hydraulics, machining, PLC programming and computer skills are highly desirable.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Must be willing to work non-standard hours.
- Travel may be required
