The Center for Languages, Literatures and Cultures (CLLC), within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks an Academic Program Services Specialist 1 to join our team.

The Academic Program Services Specialist 1 works as part of a team to coordinate daily administrative operations for the Center for Languages, Literatures and Cultures (CLLC), The Academic Program Services Specialist 1 coordinates and is the primary contact for world language placement testing and test development in a variety of languages, the Seal of Biliteracy, and ALTA placement testing. The CLLC Academic Program Services Specialist 1 is the lead organizer of the annual Language Instruction Training (LIT) workshop which services between 20 and 40 incoming graduate teaching associates and new language faculty each year. The Academic Program Services Specialist 1 also provides professional development experiences for instructors in the Less Commonly Taught Languages. The Academic Program Services Specialist 1 assists as needed with CLLC programming (e.g., Buckeye World Language Day and language parties).

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor’s Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications

REQUIRED: Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.

DESIRED: One year of experience in program planning and administration. Background in a language other than English; experience developing and coordinating community programs; work experience in language assessment or program coordination; knowledge of university policies and procedures.

Additional Information:

The pay range for this job profile is $19.09 - $25.10. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
