Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
Full time, ambulatory setting
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our new Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery practice location. This full-time position will focus on patient education and care coordination, with a strong emphasis on telephone triage, pre-operative teaching, and ongoing patient support. The RN will play a key role in ensuring patients feel informed, safe, and comfortable throughout their surgical journey. This RN will also have a role in our allergy practice. Including administering allergy serum injections, performing allergy skin testing, reviewing test results with providers and patients, coordinating care, assessing for adverse reactions to testing or treatment, patient education, and documentation. The patient population is ambulatory and spans all ages with non-acute to acute visit needs. Interested candidates should have excellent skills in; communication, organization, analyzing and synthesizing information using the nursing process. At least 2 years nursing experience preferred with a NYS nursing license required.
