Description:Synergy is seeking a Database Developer to support the full redesign of a legacy application currently being used by over 1,000 government resources. The candidate must have experience with designing and developing database tables and scripts from scratch, data modeling, and SQL, SQL*Plus, PL/SQL (packages/functions/triggers, etc.). The candidate would be working in an Agile environment along with 4 to 5 other database developers, 5 Angular developers, business analyst, scrum master and UI/UX designer supporting a multi-year modernization of a legacy application. The candidate should exhibit excellent problem solving and data analysis skills as well as a proven ability to work independently. The candidate will focus on design, development, implementation and testing of the software built on a new technology stack using industry standard tools and design patterns. Essential Functions & Duties:
- Work closely with the product owner, business analyst, tech lead and designer to translate requirements.
- Create necessary tables, views, procedures, and scripts to the support creation of multiple usable web pages.
- Data migration from Legacy application to the modernized application being developed.
- 7 plus years of experience as a database developer, including creating DB tables, views, procedures, and scripts preferred
- 5 plus years’ experience with SQL queries and databases preferred
- 5 plus years’ experience with PL/SQL preferred
- Experience with PL/SQL unit testing.
- Experience developing an enterprise-wide application.
- Strong communication skills with management, development teams, and product owner.
- History of working in an Agile environment
- Experience in GIT
- Oracle Data Modeling and Oracle SQL Developer Experience
- Knowledge of Perl, HTML and JavaScript preferred
- Top Secret Clearance or ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance is required
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must pass a background investigation
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering degree; or a degree in Engineering from an accredited* institution. A required certification may be accepted in lieu of education requirement.

- In accordance with DOD Cyber Workforce Qualifications Matrices Management, Security+ is required for candidates that do not possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering degree; or a degree in Engineering from an accredited* institution. Candidates that do not possess the required degree at the time of hire will need to obtain a Security+ certification within 6 months of start date and must be maintained throughout performance of the contract. The company will reimburse for training and certification costs upon successful completion.
