Module Production Engineer

Cuberg is commercializing next-generation battery technology to power the future of electric mobility. The company was acquired in 2021 by Northvolt, a global supplier of sustainable, high-quality battery cells and systems. As Northvolt's Advanced Technology Center operating in Silicon Valley, Cuberg is developing and commercializing lithium metal batteries, building an innovation ecosystem around lithium-ion technology, and leveraging Northvolt's state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities to rapidly scale up production of advanced batteries.

Responsibilities

• Work with product design team to develop, deploy, and ramp the module manufacturing process
• Determine the equipment and resource requirements of the module manufacturing process
• Implement the appropriate levels of automation for different stages on new product introduction
• Work as a part of a cross-functional team to develop root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Create, update and maintain process documentation such as work instructions, PFMEAs, Control Plans, time studies, capacity analyses, and material flow charts.
• Promote active problem solving and data driven decision making.
• Clearly communicate project goals and timelines.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in EV or battery manufacturing environment
• Experience with Lean, Controls Engineering, Automated Production Control, Material Handling, SPC, DOE, FMEA
• Proven track record of driving significant efficiency improvements and cost reduction efforts
• Experience working in cross-functional teams
• Scale up of production processes for new processes and product designs
