Department Profile
The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to firm wide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team.

Team Profile
Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (Corporate FP&A) is responsible for leading firmwide planning and forecasting processes, management reporting and performing strategic analyses of the Firm's global businesses to support strategic decision-making. Corporate FP&A supports and interacts with Firm leadership, the Firm's Board of Directors and various Firm regulators. Additionally, Corporate FP&A collaborates closely with Business lines and their Finance teams, Investor Relations, Global Controller teams, Treasury, Capital and the Risk Department.

Key Responsibilities

We are recruiting for a First-Year Analyst to work on aspects of FP&A Budgeting and Forecasting. The analyst will assist with and develop knowledge in Balance Sheet and Pre-Provision Net Revenue (PPNR) related to Annual Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) and Quarterly Stress Testing (QST). Support monitoring of Actuals and its tracking against Plan / Forecast and ad-hoc sensitivity analysis. The analyst will support deliverables of key materials to the team manager.

Key responsibilities include:

> Analyze and prepare financial dashboards in Excel and other software applications

> Synthesize financial model data

> Work with stakeholders in Finance to make informed decisions based on analytics

> Prepare PowerPoint presentations and Meeting Minutes for distribution

Qualifications

> 0-1 years of experience in Financial services or related field

> An interest or familiarity with financial markets; Knowledge of accounting principles

> Strong written and verbal communication skills

> Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

> Ability to demonstrate analytical and collaboration/relationship building skills

> Bachelor Degree in Business Related Major

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $70,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit prog
