Data Analyst

Description

The Data Analyst at Girl Scouts of Western Washington compiles, analyzes, and elevates data, in support of the Marketing and Communications team’s comprehensive strategy, that effectively conveys the organization’s mission and increases engagement among Girl Scout youth, volunteers, and donors. This role will work with departments across the Council to collect data and communicate findings. Insights provided by the Data Analyst will help guide Council storytelling to ensure that we are using data effectively to share the impact of Girl Scouting with internal and external stakeholders.

This is a regular, part-time (20 hours per week), non-exempt role that requires residency in Washington State, preferably within our Council region of Western Washington.  Work can be conducted remotely, but successful candidates must be willing and able to come into a GSWW office as needed or when requested. While the full pay range for this position is $29.74 to $32.37 per hour based on tenure with GSSW, this position will start at $29.74 per hour for purposes of internal pay equity.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops internal and external audience surveys; collects, interprets, analyzes, and presents data gathered
• Imports, cleans, and validates data using databases and tools including but not limited to Excel, Power BI, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Qualtrics, Looker, and Donor Perfect
• Presents conclusions in charts, graphs, or spreadsheets, as well as slide presentations
• Provides accurate and appropriate interpretations of data
• Conducts accurate and timely reporting using statistical modeling and other business analysis tools that will be used by Council leadership to support and drive business decisions
• Ensures analysis and reporting accuracy and integrity, provides explanation of performance drivers
• Implements tracking parameters for external communications and reports on marketing campaigns using data analytics to ensure ROI

Education and Experience Required 

• Associate’s degree in data analytics or related field
• Minimum of two years’ experience in data and/or bus
