Overview
The Iron County Office of Utah State University Extension seek a qualified individual who would be responsible for providing enriching afterschool clubs for students. Instructor Positions are available at one Iron County Sites (Cedar Middle School). We need educators to teach a variety of subject matters; such as, but not limited to Sewing, STEM, Cake Decorating, Music, Art, Etc. Instructor may teach 4+ days a week depending on program needs and instructor availability. Program at the middle school is from 2:30-5. Instructors need to be available for program and schedule time to complete their other hours.
Responsibilities
- Plan and teach an engaging afterschool programming
- Keep an attendance record of those students who attend your club.
- Attend required training.
- Attend 4-H Afterschool events such as 4-H service projects, and club showcase, and Family Night Out events.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must work effectively with youth, families, and school
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-Starter, good follow-through
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Job offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with youth
- Past experience in the 4-H Program as a youth or volunteer
- Skills related to STEM and other afterschool subject matter

$8.00 per hourADA
Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
