Why does this role exist?
We're seeking a Bilingual Digital Marketing Specialist to strengthen our market research capabilities and expand our clients' digital presence across Chinese and Western social media platforms. This role is crucial in supporting our clients' growth objectives while ensuring culturally appropriate content adaptation and market positioning. The position will help drive our clients' success by conducting thorough market research and maintaining an active social media presence while the clients focus on their core activities. 

The Impact you’ll make

Market Research & Analysis 

• Build and maintain lists of ideal customer profiles
• Conduct comprehensive market research on the Chinese digital landscape
• Identify potential partnership and collaboration opportunities
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities

Social Media Management 

• Grow and maintain a digital presence on LinkedIn and Instagram
• Develop and implement social media growth strategies
• Monitor engagement metrics and community growth
• Create and adapt content for different platforms

Content Localization 

• Assist in cultural adaptation of content
• Ensure content alignment with Chinese market preferences
• Support content planning and posting operations

Client Support 

• Track and report on key performance metrics
• Maintain communication through WhatsApp and Slack
• Provide regular updates on market opportunities

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required:

• Native or professional working proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese
• Educational background or significant experience related to the Chinese market/culture
• Proven experience in digital marketing and social media management
• Strong market research and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Excel and AI tools
• WFH Set-Up:
  • Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
  • Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
  • Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
  • Back-up computer and internet connection
  • Quiet, dedicated workspace at home

What to expect...

Work Setup:

• Remote position
• Must have a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace
• Required to provide own computer with Intel Core i5 or something similar or higher operating system

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM PST (Pacific Standard Time)
• Occasional weekend availability for urgent matters
• 40 hours per week

Compensation:

• $7 per hour
• No benefits package included
