Position Overview:
A Business Project Analyst specializing in Triage and Root Cause Management serves as a critical problem-solving partner to business leads, reporting to the Sr. Director of Business Architecture. This role captures and prioritizes business-driven issues, facilitates structured root cause analysis, and ensures corrective actions are owned, tracked, and resolved.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business leads to capture, categorize, and prioritize operational issues and change requests across active initiatives
- Own the end-to-end triage process — assessing business impact, urgency, and strategic alignment to route issues to the right owners
- Facilitate structured Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions — 5 Whys, Fishbone/Ishikawa, Fault Tree Analysis, and PDCA
- Develop corrective action plans (CAPs) with business-owned accountability, clear timelines, and measurable success criteria
- Produce business-facing status reports and triage summaries for leadership review and decision-making
- Escalate unresolved or high-impact issues to the VP of Project Governance with recommended resolution paths

Job Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or Information Systems; MBA advantageous
- Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt — highly recommended for RCA and process improvement
- PMP or CAPM, ITIL Foundation, Prosci Change Management, CBAP, or PMI-PBA
Required Skills
- 2–5 years in business operations, process improvement, or delivery support within enterprise environments
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills — identifying patterns, systemic gaps, and operational breakdowns
- Experience with JIRA, Smartsheet, ServiceNow, MS Project, Power BI, or Tableau
- Strong PowerPoint and business storytelling capability for executive communication
- Proficiency in Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid delivery frameworks

Salary Range (Norwalk, CT): $75,863.02 - $101,150.69
Annual Bonus Potential: 5%
