Senior Data Scientist

Ready to be a Titan?

As a member of the Operations data science team supporting our special projects team, you will build models that help execute projects supporting the efficient operations of our product organization as well as finance projections. Diverse projects will range from using LLMs to suggest revisions, at scale, to our production code base to using machine learning to forecast our business performance. The ideal candidate will have excellent data science/MLOps skills and be able to translate business needs into data science approaches.  

This is a rare opportunity to boost sales growth at a firm that is at scale but still growing rapidly. 

What you'll do:

• Partner with key business stakeholders at ServiceTitan, own end to end data analysis and modeling projects, and create scalable data science solutions to support our growing business

• Build machine learning systems from the ground up and design scalable data science models

• Promote adoption of cutting edge analytics and ML, implement innovative quantitative research tools and models

• Transform insights gained from data into actionable business recommendations

• Champion and execute long-term strategic projects that grow ServiceTitan’s platform in the Home Service industry 

• Invent bold and creative solutions that aim to solve our current and future business problems

What you’ll need:

• MS/Ph.D in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or similar quantitative discipline required 

• 5+ years experience as a data scientist developing predictive business models 

• Strong background using data science python packages like pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, H2O, and transformers

• Hands on knowledge of cutting edge  methods in machine learning, statistics, optimization, classification, and NLP (including transformers and, ideally, chatGPT style genAI systems)

• Strong engineering background deploying models using engineering best practices (Kubernetes, logging, object oriented programming, unit testing, etc.) 

• Expertise in SQL

• A proven track record of using advanced data solutions to produce effective business results

• Able to partner with the business and execute a project from end to end

• Great communication skills including communicating complex concepts to business stakeholders 

• A passion for discovery, problem solving and practical business outcomes 

• Experience using cloud computing platforms (e.g. Azure) to deploy models and automate predictions 

Preferred experience: 

• Experience deploying models to production using best in class ML Ops practices

• Experience with pytorch

• Experience with best in class genAI solutions like chatGPT, llama, etc.
