In this role, you will combine hands-on DevOps work with team leadership responsibilities. You will lead efforts to improve the scalability, reliability, and automation of our CI/CD infrastructure and production environments while driving innovation and best practices across the team.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span>What you'll do</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span>Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and operational excellence.</span></li> <li><span>Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure systems.</span></li> <li><span>Oversee the design and evolution of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and monitoring systems.</span></li> <li><span>Ensure production systems meet high standards for availability, performance, and security.</span></li> <li><span>Drive incident management and root cause analysis for critical system issues.</span></li> <li><span>Take ownership of team planning, prioritization, and execution of DevOps-related projects.</span></li> <li><span>Promote best practices in infrastructure as code, observability, and automation.</span></li> <li><span>Provide guidance during off-hours incidents when needed.</span><br/><br/><strong><span>What you bring</span></strong></li> </ul> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span> Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.</span></li> <li><span>7+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering, including at least 2 years in a leadership or mentorship capacity.</span></li> <li><span>Deep hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.</span></li> <li><span>Strong proficiency with cloud providers such as AWS or Azure.</span></li> <li><span>Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).</span></li> <li><span>Expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like TeamCity, Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.</span></li> <li><span>Solid experience in system monitoring, logging, and performance tuning.</span></li> <li><span>Strong Bash scripting skills; additional experience in Python, Java, or Go is a plus.</span></li> <li><span>Familiarity with NoSQL databases (Elasticsearch, Redis, etc.) and event-streaming systems (Kafka, Spark).</span></li> <li><span>A strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.</span></li> <li><span>Comfortable working from our Budapest office 3 times per week.</span><br/><br/><strong><span>Bonus Points For</span></strong></li> </ul> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span>Previous experience managing data lakes or analytics platforms</span></li> <li><span>Passion for mentoring and growing engineering talent.</span></li> <li>Ex<span>perience leading DevOps transformations or scaling DevOps teams.</span></li> <li>A proactive and ownership-driven mindset.</li> <li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p><p><span><span><span id="cke_bm_1617S"> </span></span></span></p> <p>​<b>Bring out your best</b></p> <p><span>SAP innovations help more than four hundred thousand customers worldwide work together more efficiently and use business insight more effectively.
