Senior Scientist, Analytical Chemistry

What We Need

As an Analytical Chemist at Roquette, you will report to the Head of R&D - Americas and work closely with a global R&D team to drive ingredient innovation through analytical chemistry characterization.

What You'll Do

• Contribute to the characterization of plant-based ingredients to meet the rising customer and consumer demand.
• Review, revise, and develop analytical characterization methods to align with R&D and manufacturing requirements.
• Act as a subject matter expert in analytical chemistry, participating in cross-functional teams that encompass various departments, including sales, marketing, operations, R&D, applications, senior leadership, procurement, customers, and suppliers.
• Strengthen R&D's analytical science and technology competencies to support the company's innovation strategy and external partnerships.
• Manage projects, overseeing timelines, budgets, and desired outcomes.
• Contribute to Roquette's Global Analytical Chemistry Network, sharing knowledge and best practices.
   

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Master's Degree or PhD in Analytical Chemistry or Biochemistry with a focus on carbohydrate chemistry and characterization.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in ingredient or food companies, with a specialization in carbohydrate chemistry and characterization.
• Strong laboratory experimentation and data analysis skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to build trusted relationships with both internal and external partners.
• Ambition to lead and manage an analytical chemistry team is preferred.
• Expectation of domestic and international travel (up to 25%).
