Who We’re Looking For:  The Manager of Business Partner Engagement will be part of a team of sales and business development experts in the MHA Community GPO space that are responsible for growing overall sales within the MPS and BPS segments.

The Manager of Business Partner Engagement will be responsible for supporting the business development efforts of the MHA Community GPO sales team with a primary focus on Medical and Business Products and Services. This includes, but not limited to, fielding inquiries from account executives and the business development team, identifying opportunities within the current membership, conducting, and presenting market basket assessments, consulting with members and business partners, and conducting sales presentations. Working collaboratively with the MHA contracting team in strategic assessments of the current portfolio and the associated current market position, will help identify and address any product gaps, establish target markets, and ensure program competitiveness.

The position supports the established overarching business strategy, strategic imperatives, tactical plans and program budget management, to ensure that long-range goals and financial objectives are met.  The Manager, Business Partner Engagement serves as a subject matter expert to the community of business partners, members, employees, and MHA business units who utilize our MHA offerings.  Effective and timely communication aligned with strategic direction to all members, business partners and sales teams will ensure a high level of customer service and pull-through. The position will also need to establish, maintain, and expand strategic and tactical relationships with MHA key business partners as the market dictates.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

Support strategic partnership opportunities and relationship management of distributors, manufacturers, and other business partners to strengthen and expand service offerings.

  • Act as the liaison between business partners and the MHA sales teams to identify and evaluate additional portfolio offerings.
  • Present findings of new portfolio evaluation to leadership and trade to ensure offering is in line with department goals and initiatives.
  • Conduct detailed analyses within MPS/BPS offerings to identify and support member needs.
  • Conduct market basket analysis to ensure contract competitiveness and portfolio coverage.
  • Act as the subject matter expert while partnering with the MHA business units and sales team to maximize MHA sales revenue, develop market share and drive profitable new business to MHA.

 

What do you bring to the table:

  • BA/BS in management, finance, marketing or other business-related degree, MBA is a plus.
  • 10+ years’ experience in corporate purchasing, contract management, product marketing and/or facilities management in pharmaceutical, medical-surgical products, consumer products, durable goods, or corporate services industries.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal/presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making skills
  • Strong contract negotiation experience required.
  • Strong process management skills
  • Strong MS office knowledge
