Research Assistant II - Part-time

Summary
This position will perform responsible research work of a complex nature that requires coordinating research activities, including recruitment and informed consent, enrollment and retention of families in a randomized clinical trial, as well as conducting literature searches and writing manuscripts.
Job Duties
- Coordinating research activities for the PEV study, including recruitment, informed consent, enrollment, and retention of families admitted to our inpatient unit - 30%
- Provide mentorship and onboarding support for incoming PhD students joining the research project including training in participant recruitment procedures, study protocols, regulatory compliance, and family-centered research practices within a hospital-based research setting. - 5%
- Contribute to scholarly dissemination efforts by assisting with preparation of peer-reviewed manuscripts - 35%
- Conduct literature searches for studies and manuscripts - 5%
- Provide umbrella supervision to medical students and other psychology PhD students in collecting and managing data using EPIC and excel spreadsheets; may also be collecting and organizing data independently - 15%
- Support the development of an NIMH R01 grant application for submission in Fall 2026. - 5%
- Gain advanced experience in federal grant development, including scientific writing, study design refinement, preparation of research strategy sections, and coordination of supporting materials for an NIH R01 application - 5%
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or a related field.
- Three years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters or PhD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
