Job Summary

The APM ‐ Environmental position is responsible for managing the full environmental life‐cycle (plan, execute,close) for a portfolio (>$2M) of ongoing projects executed by PSE&G. The APME is accountable for managing required scope within an approved budget and schedule. Through integrated planning and effective coordination with other functional groups, the APME, supports safe execution of project activities; highest levels of service reliability, customer service and community relationship; compliance with all permits and other federal, state, and local environmental regulations in accordance with Company policies and procedures. The position will supervise and coach direct reports and manage assigned project staff (indirect reports) who assist in the execution of the portfolio, including Environmental Support Specialists, Environmental Technical Specialists, and Environmental Project Specialists. The position requires a monitor/control function to measure individuals’ progress against project plans (scope, cost schedule, performance safety); as well as risk response and supplier contract management. Leads project execution thru the organizing, directing and coordination of activities and assigns resources to support the project portfolio. The APME communicates and interacts with project stakeholders, leads team meetings; provides technical guidance to their team, ensures timely preparation and issue of reports on project status; generates and maintains performance metrics (milestones, KPI’s and budget) for the Utility; interfaces with senior management and regulators, and ensures support from internal stakeholders are adequate to ensure success.
