  • Lead scoping conversations with engineering teams, clearly communicating feature specifications, and technical constraints.
  • Own feature management from ideation through execution, addressing engineers' questions, making informed product decisions, and actively tracking progress, and assessing quality.
  • Utilize advanced Figma skills to create and deliver high-quality, user-centered designs with a keen eye for detail.
  • Quickly prototype, iterate, and execute designs, balancing thoroughness with speed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Take ownership over the product and process to proactively identify inefficiencies, and propose innovative new ideas.
  • Consider the long-term impact of design decisions and align your work with both feature precedence and future product goals.
  • Maintain and enhance our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability.
  • Create animations, interactions, and offer guidance on technical feasibility, via experience in Lottie, Rive, or other animation tools.
  • Use your skills in graphic and motion design to support various branding needs, including marketing materials, social media, video, and website assets.

Experience

  • 6+ years experience designing web applications, with a focus on data-heavy desktop SaaS apps.
  • Deep knowledge of contemporary UI design and UX best practices.
  • Experience in startups or fast-paced environments.
  • Proven proficiency in Figma, design systems, and UI/Product documentation.
  • Strong graphic design skills, with the ability to produce visually compelling assets for various channels.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of prototyping and design handoff tools (Lottie, Framer, Rive, AE).
  • Familiarity with AI tools like Claude or Replit for rapid prototyping is a plus.

Communication and Writing

  • Strong written communication skills, with experience in documenting design decisions and writing specifications.
  • Ability to write clear, audience-focused copy and organize content effectively.
  • Story-telling capabilities. You can write copy for a marketing homepage as well as the text for an alert modal, as well as a script for a video, all with ease.

Who You Are

  • An effusive, proactive written communicator that can maintain collaboration on multiple projects while working asynchronously, i.e. you offer status updates before they’re requested and abuse slack emojis.
  • A detail-oriented designer with a strong ability to zoom out, assess the bigger picture, and design thoughtfully with future scope in mind.
