The software enablement engineer role is responsible for application layout, implementation, enhancements, and support. The primary focus will be the production support and administration of the Abercrombie and Fitch Software Engineering Enablement’s application portfolio, including, but not limited to enterprise batch, logging, monitoring, code delivery pipeline and IT service management.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Design, develop and implement complex application solutions for Abercrombie & Fitch
- Collaborate with other Abercrombie & Fitch engineers and developers to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
- Discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize efficiency
- Support critical production systems to ensure stability and uptime
- Plan and document multi-step complex changes
- Assist D&T and business partners with their application rollout and support
- Actively engage vendors to assist in problem resolution
- Create and uphold technology standards, processes, and audit methodologies
- Continuously improve platforms based on retail and application technology trends in support of D&T and business strategies
- Active member of a 24x7 on-call rotation
What Do You Need To Bring?
- 2+ years’ experience with application management and support, including one or more of the following: code delivery (Git, Jira, Nexus, ADO, TFc), Splunk, ServiceNow, Solarwinds, and Broadcom CA Workload Automation
- Experience supporting end user application requests, questions, and complex issues
- Experience supporting multiple applications atop both Linux & Windows operating systems
- Understanding of basic networking, storage, and information security concepts
- Personal attributes: team-oriented, confident, self-starter, strong work ethic, highly motivated, sense of humor, a winning ‘can-do’ attitude
- A 4-year degree in an IT related field
- Retail experience is a plus
