Crean College of Health and Behavioral Sciences at Chapman University invites applications for a Director of Clinical Education for its Master of Science program in Communication Sciences and Disorders, at the rank of Non-Tenure-Track Clinical Assistant Professor, beginning Spring 2026.

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) is located on the Rinker Health Science campus in Irvine, CA. This campus is designed to foster an interprofessional educational environment and to use cutting edge technology in teaching and practice.  The campus features state of the art facilities, including a human cadaver anatomy laboratory, advanced learning centers with innovative technology, Grand Rounds auditorium with 3D projection capabilities, multi-sized classrooms, a medical library, and collaborative work centers. The campus is home to several accredited graduate health science professional programs, including Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Master of Science Physician Assistant Studies, and Doctor of Pharmacy. The Rinker campus is strategically located near healthcare institutions, medical device, and biopharmaceutical companies.

The CSD department is seeking a colleague who is experienced, dynamic, and collaborative; one who will build upon the currently existing network in the community, schools, private practices, and hospital settings, who is a good communicator with both students and clinical contacts, and who will contribute to clinical teaching in the program. The Master of Science graduate degree program is accredited by the Council of Academic Accreditation (CAA) and the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). The CSD department is associated with numerous school districts, private practices, and medical centers that provide services to individuals with communication disorders across the lifespan. This includes two clinics operated by the CSD department: the CSD Adult Learning Lab for adults with neurological communication disorders, and the RiteCare Childhood Language Center of Orange County for youth with communication disorders.
