<h1>Sr. Accountant and Finance Analyst</h1> <p><strong>Hybrid, Bucharest, Romania</strong></p> <p> </p> <h3>JOB OVERVIEW</h3> <p>As Sr. Accounting and Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for  operational analysis and Financial analysis in close partnership with the Manager of FP&amp;A and Assistant Controller. The role requires strong analytical and modeling expertise and flexibility to collaborate across US time zones. This role will be working with the finance and accounting department, actively contributing to monthly close, financial analysis, to evaluate performance, improve decision-making, and support a fast-growing SaaS company.</p> <h3>RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES</h3> <ul> <li>Analyze current and historical Operational data to identify patterns and insights</li> <li>Assist monthly close, trend analysis, budget vs. actuals, and operational KPI reviews</li> <li>Assist in preparing clear, concise reports and operational dashboard and analysis</li> <li>Support preparation of timely and accurate financial statements</li> <li>Research accounting and market trends, assessing impacts on business performance and compliance</li> <li>Contribute to policy development and initiatives that improve efficiency and financial growth</li> <li>Work closely with Romania accounting partners, ensuring all filings, regulatory filings are completed on time and on schedule</li> <li>As a point of contact between US and Romania partners</li> </ul> <h3>REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS</h3> <ul> <li>Degree in Accounting, Economics or Mathematics </li> <li>Strong analytical, and financial modeling skills, with ability to interpret large datasets and identify key drivers</li> <li>Accounting experience in Romania is required</li> <li>Experience preparing US GAAP financial statements;</li> <li>Prior experience in banking, financial services, or SaaS/software companies strongly preferred</li> <li>Technical accounting expertise,  ability to evaluate impact of new standards</li> <li>Prior exposure to system implementations; adaptable to learning new tools quickly</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail; able to identify data inconsistencies and patterns</li> <li>Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present insights clearly</li> <li>Proven team player with ability to work cross-functionally and across global time zones.</li> <li>Flexibility to align with US working hours when needed</li> <li>Start-up and SaaS accounting background required</li> </ul> <h3>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES</h3> <ul> <li>Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)</li> <li>Familiarity with IFRS</li> <li>Proficiency with various accounting software tools such as <strong>NetSuite</strong> preferred</li> <li>Experience in banking or corporate finance environments</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality financial analysis in fast-growth companies</li> </ul> <h3>ABOUT LEGION</h3> <p>Join Legion's mission to turn hourly jobs into good jobs.
